Oliver Lincoln Lundquist

Oliver Lincoln Lundquist was an industrial designer who led the team that created the United Nations logo. Lundquist's team designed all the graphics for the 1945 San Francisco conference at which the UN charter was signed, including an official delegate's badge, which became the prototype for the logo. The team did not set out to design the logo, but the badge became the prototype; it was initially designed by Donald McLaughlin, who worked for Lundquist as director of graphics for the conference.
